Adding and timing lyrics

Lyric lines run alongside your cues on the same song timeline. They are display only — lyrics never trigger any output — and they are saved inside the show file. Once lines have times they drive the full-screen teleprompter, the crew viewer, and the Tour's lyrics column.

Where it lives

Open the LYRICS tab in the right panel. If the tab is not visible, enable it in Settings → Workflow → Optional panels. Select a song first — lyrics belong to a song, not to the project.

Getting the words in

• Type one line at a time in New line… and click Add line.
• Or paste the whole song into the paste box (Paste lyrics — one line per row…) and click Add as lines. One row becomes one line.
• Click a line to select it; Ctrl / Cmd-click to add to the selection, Shift-click for a range. Batch actions then apply to everything selected.

Who sings

Add the people who sing this show to Members, each with a colour, then assign lines with Who sings?. Lines take their member's colour everywhere they are shown, so a two-singer song reads at a glance. For a solo or a lyrics-only show you can skip the roster entirely — colours are only worth setting up when more than one person sings.

The five modes

• Lyrics — the list of lines with their times; the everyday view.
• Tap timing — play the song and tap each line as it is sung. The header counts how many are timed out of the total, so you can see what is left. The song's end point is tappable too.
• Timeline — an inline lane under the waveform: drag line boundaries, snap, box-select, copy and paste, Ctrl + wheel to zoom.
• Edit — rewrite the text of existing lines.
• Position — stage positions, line by line (see Stage positions).

The end marker

Each song has an editable end point at the bottom of the Lyrics tab. It tells the teleprompter when the last line stops, so the display clears instead of leaving the final line up for the rest of the song.

Untimed lines

A line with no time shows a dashed placeholder, so you can count what is still to do. Rows you left genuinely blank — an instrumental gap — stay empty and are never labelled, because there is no way to tell a deliberate gap from a line you forgot.
