Loop section
Loop section lets you loop a selected range of cues for rehearsal without manually setting A/B loop points on the waveform. Select the cues you want to practice, click one button, and LTCast loops that range until you stop.
Setting up a loop
Select the cues you want to loop in the cue list. Use Shift+click for a contiguous range or Ctrl+click to pick individual cues. Then click Loop Section in the cue toolbar.
LTCast sets the loop boundaries to cover the selected cues and activates looping automatically. When a single cue is selected, the loop runs from that cue's timecode to the next cue's timecode.
What loops
The loop covers from the timecode of the first selected cue to the timecode of the last selected cue (or the next cue after the last selected one, if a single cue is selected). Playback jumps back to the start of the range when it reaches the end, repeating indefinitely.
Stopping the loop
Press Esc to stop playback and clear the loop, or click the clear loop button in the transport area. The loop points are removed and playback resumes in normal mode.
Rehearsal workflow
A practical use for Loop Section is rehearsing a tricky handoff between two cues. Select the 2–3 cues around the transition, click Loop Section, and the same passage repeats automatically so you can practice calling it or test the timing — without resetting the playhead each time.
