System

Settings β†’ System has three sub-tabs: Backup, License, and Diagnostics.

Backup sub-tab

Auto Backup β€” toggle to enable automatic backups of your current project. When enabled, LTCast saves a snapshot of the current state at the configured interval.

  • Interval β€” how often to create a backup, in minutes
  • Keep last N β€” the number of backups to retain; older backups are deleted automatically when the limit is reached

Click Backups… to open the backup history dialog. It shows a timestamped list of available backups with file sizes. From the dialog you can:

  • Restore β€” load a backup, replacing the current project state
  • Delete β€” remove a single backup from disk
  • Open Backup Folder β€” reveal the backup storage location in Finder (macOS) or Explorer (Windows)

License sub-tab

Current status β€” shows whether LTCast is running in trial mode (including days remaining), or is fully licensed.

  • License key field β€” enter a license key purchased from ltcast.app and click Activate to unlock Pro features
  • Deactivate β€” removes the license from this machine; do this before transferring the license to a new computer
  • Promo code β€” enter a promo code and your email address to redeem a time-limited Pro license
  • Buy LTCast Pro β€” a link to the purchase page at ltcast.app

Diagnostics sub-tab

Share anonymous crash reports β€” opt-in checkbox. When enabled, LTCast sends crash reports to help the development team identify and fix bugs. All data is scrubbed before transmission: file paths, usernames, license keys, and project names are removed. The setting is off by default and takes effect after restarting LTCast.

Crash reporting is opt-in and can be turned off at any time. No personal data, file contents, or license information is ever transmitted.
