HOLD broadcast
The HOLD button broadcasts a "HOLD β ALL STANDBY" message to every connected viewer simultaneously, replacing their display with a large red HOLD banner. This is the fastest way to alert all crew members of an unplanned pause without a radio call.
Sending a HOLD
The HOLD button is in the Stage Monitor section of Settings β Network Viewer β Host (Mirror). It is visible when the mirror is active and at least one viewer is connected. Click HOLD to broadcast immediately β all viewers receive the banner at the same moment.
Once HOLD is active, the button label changes to CLEAR HOLD.
Clearing a HOLD
Click CLEAR HOLD to broadcast a "RESUME β CLEAR HOLD" message. The HOLD banner clears on all viewer screens and they return to normal display. Viewers cannot dismiss the banner themselves β only the operator can clear it.
Effect on viewers
When a viewer receives a HOLD broadcast, a red full-screen banner covers the entire viewer interface. The crew member sees the HOLD message clearly and cannot dismiss it. The underlying timecode display is hidden until the operator clears the hold.
Effect on LTCast playback
HOLD does not stop or pause playback on the LTCast machine. It is a viewer-only message. If you also need to pause the show's timecode, use the Stop transport control separately. HOLD is purely a communication tool to the crew.
HOLD is not a substitute for stopping playback. If the music continues playing after you press HOLD, the timecode still advances and cue triggers may still fire. Pause LTCast if the show is truly on hold.
