grandMA2 / grandMA3 XML
LTCast exports your cue list as a grandMA2 or grandMA3 XML sequence file. Import the file directly into the console to create a timecode-triggered sequence without manually entering every cue.
Accessing the export
Choose File β Export to grandMA2 XML or File β Export to grandMA3 XML. The two formats differ β use the correct one for your console version. The export dialog opens only if the active song has at least one cue marker.
Export options
Before the file is saved, an options dialog appears:
- Trigger token β the grandMA command to send at each cue timecode:
- Goto (recommended) β jumps directly to the sequence step; verified on real MA2 and MA3 consoles
- Go+ β advances one step forward in the sequence
- Goβ β steps back one step in the sequence
- Start sequence number β the grandMA sequence number to assign in the console. If cues are assigned to multiple departments, LTCast generates additional sequences for each department using consecutive numbers starting from this value.
Importing into grandMA
After saving the XML file, transfer it to the console or a USB drive. On the console, use the Import function to load the XML. The sequence appears in the console's sequence pool at the assigned number and is ready to run with timecode enabled.
The MA2 and MA3 XML formats are not interchangeable. Importing an MA2 file into an MA3 console (or vice versa) will fail or produce incorrect results.
