Per-song video memory
LTCast remembers the video file associated with each song in the setlist. When you switch songs during a show or rehearsal, the correct video loads automatically — no manual re-import needed for each song.
How assignment works
When you import a video while a song is loaded, that video file path and alignment offset are saved as the video for that song. The association is stored inside the .ltcast project file.
To assign a different video, simply import a new one while that song is active. The new import replaces the previous assignment.
Automatic loading on song switch
When you switch to a different song in the setlist, LTCast automatically loads the video assigned to the new song in the background. If the new song has no assigned video, the Video Reference panel clears. This happens without interrupting playback or timecode output.
If the assigned video file cannot be found on disk (for example, if the file was moved or the show was transferred to a different computer), a toast notification appears. The song loads normally but without its video.
Clearing vs. removing the video
- Clear Video — removes the video from the current display session. The per-song association is kept. When you reload the song or switch away and back, the video loads again.
- Remove Video — deletes the per-song association permanently. The song no longer loads a video automatically. The video file itself is not deleted from disk.
Project file storage
Per-song video data (file path and offset) is stored in the full .ltcast project file. It is not included in .ltcast preset exports — only in the full project. The video file itself is not embedded; it must remain accessible at the same file path on disk when the project is opened.
