Hide / show preview
The Video Reference panel includes a hide/show toggle that collapses or expands the video display area. This lets you reclaim screen space when you do not need to watch the video during a section of the show, without unloading or desynchronizing the video.
Toggling visibility
Click the eye icon in the Video Reference panel header to toggle the display. The button label alternates between "Hide video preview" and "Show video preview" to reflect the current state.
- When hidden: the panel header and controls remain visible, but the video display area collapses to zero height. You can still nudge the offset, re-sync, or pop out the window from the header controls.
- When shown: the video plays in the panel in real time, synchronized to playback.
Background playback
Hiding the preview is a display-only action. The video continues playing and tracking the audio in the background regardless of whether the preview is visible. Synchronization is not interrupted. When you show the preview again, it is already at the correct position.
Auto-hide during playback
There is an option in Settings → Video Reference to automatically hide the preview when playback starts (chase mode or play). The preview reappears when playback stops. Enable this if you prefer a minimal interface during a live show and only want the video preview available when paused for review.
