Fullscreen TC display

The fullscreen TC display opens a dedicated window showing the current timecode in large type. It is designed to be placed on a secondary monitor so the tech table, stage manager, or crew can read the timecode from a distance without crowding around the operator's screen.

Opening and closing

  • Open β€” press F11, or click the Fullscreen TC button in the transport controls
  • Close β€” press Esc while the fullscreen window is in focus, or click the close button; the main LTCast window remains open and playback continues

The fullscreen window is a separate OS window, not a true fullscreen overlay. You can move it to a secondary monitor by dragging it there, then maximizing it. LTCast remembers which monitor it was on and restores it there the next time you open it.

What the fullscreen display shows

  • Timecode β€” current SMPTE position in large HH:MM:SS:FF format; updates in real time
  • Frame rate β€” the active frame rate (24, 25, 29.97 DF, 30 NDF) shown below the timecode
  • Playback state β€” PLAYING or STOPPED indicator
  • Current song name β€” the name of the active song from the setlist
  • Remaining time β€” countdown to the end of the current song

Display settings

The fullscreen display adapts to the window size β€” text scales to fill the available space on any monitor resolution. You can configure the display in Settings β†’ Display β†’ Fullscreen TC:

  • Show song name β€” toggle the song name display on or off
  • Show remaining time β€” toggle the countdown display on or off
  • Background color β€” choose black or a dark color that works with your monitoring setup

Use cases

  • Secondary monitor on the operator's desk showing TC for other departments to read
  • A monitor at the stage manager's position for show calling
  • A confidence monitor visible to the video operator across the room
  • A projector or display facing the stage for acts that need to see their own timecode
The fullscreen TC display is read-only. All playback controls remain in the main LTCast window. The fullscreen display updates continuously as long as LTCast is running, regardless of whether the main window is in focus.
