After-finish destination
After-finish controls what LTCast does when the current song reaches its end. You can set a global default for the entire show and override it per song for specific transitions.
Global auto-advance
The global Auto-advance checkbox sits at the bottom of the setlist, under the song list, and is off by default. It sets the default behavior for every song. When enabled, LTCast automatically loads and plays the next song when the current one ends, stepping over any skipped song. When disabled, playback stops at the end of each song and waits for a manual command.
When Auto-advance is on, a Gap (s) field appears beside it: the pause between songs in seconds (0 to 30, default 2). During the gap the transport is stopped — LTC is silent — and a Next: … countdown with a ✕ to cancel it is shown above the transport controls.
Per-song override
Right-click a song and choose After this song… to set an after-finish destination that applies only to that song, overriding the global setting. This is not part of the per-song settings panel. With several songs selected, the choice applies to all of them. The current per-song destination is shown as a badge on the song card when an override is active.
Available destinations
A destination you choose here always applies, even when the global Auto-advance checkbox is off, and it still waits for the gap before the next song starts (except Loop and Stop). Only Follow global auto-advance obeys the checkbox.
- Go to next song — loads the next song that is not skipped
- Go to first song — goes to the first song that is not skipped; useful for looping a full show
- Go to last song — goes to the last song that is not skipped
- Stop — stops playback entirely, even if the global Auto-advance is on; LTC output stays silent; useful at the end of an act
- Loop this song — plays the same song again from the start as soon as it ends; use for ambient loops or hold cues
- Go to specific song — choose any song in the setlist by name; the target song is shown in the badge
- Follow global auto-advance — removes the per-song override and falls back to the global setting
Broken "Go to specific song" links
If you delete a song that was set as the target of a "Go to specific song" destination on another song, the badge on the source song turns red and reads → ? (the tooltip says the target was deleted). LTCast falls back to Stop when it reaches that song. Fix it by right-clicking the song and choosing After this song… again to select a new target.
Copying songs together with the song they point to — paste, Copy to list, Move to list, dropping on another list's tab, or Duplicate on a list tab — re-points each copy at the copy of its target, so a duplicated list continues inside itself. A song copied without its target still points at the original target; if that song is not in the list the copy lands in, it shows the red → ? badge and stops there.
Last song behavior
When auto-advance reaches the last song and there is no per-song override, playback stops. To loop the entire show, set a "Go to first song" destination on the last song card.
