ETC Eos ASCII

LTCast exports your cue list as an ETC Eos ASCII cue file (.asc) compatible with the Eos family of consoles: Eos, Ion, Element, ColorSource, and others that use the ETC console software.

Accessing the export

Choose File → Export to ETC Eos ASCII. The export proceeds only if the active song has at least one cue marker. If there are no markers, a message is shown and no file is created.

What gets exported

Each cue marker is exported with:

  • Cue number — taken from the cue's number field in LTCast
  • Label — the cue label as shown in the cue editor
  • Timecode — appears as the Go timing in the Eos cue list

Cues are exported in timecode order.

Importing into Eos

Transfer the .asc file to the console (USB drive or network share). On the Eos console, open the cue list and use the Import function to load the ASCII file. The cues appear in the cue list at the timecodes defined in the export.

Cue number compatibility

Verify cue numbers after import. LTCast allows decimal cue numbers (e.g., 5.5), which Eos supports natively. However, if your Eos show file uses a specific numbering convention, you may need to renumber the imported cues to match before saving.

Export the Eos ASCII file after finalizing the cue list in LTCast. If you make changes to the LTCast cues after the initial import, re-export and re-import, or manually update the Eos cue list to match.
