Stage Monitor
Stage Monitor is where the status reports from crew viewers arrive. Each department can tap OK, WARN or ERROR on its phone (see What crew members see) and the report lands here, so you can see at a glance whether everyone is ready. The same panel holds the form for push alerts.
Showing the panel
Stage Monitor is a panel pinned at the bottom of the right-hand panel, under the tabs. It is hidden by default. Show it with View → Stage Monitor or by choosing a role preset that includes it (see View menu & role presets). Click its title bar to collapse or expand it. It is not in Settings.
Reading the panel
The panel lists reports that have been received; it does not list who is connected (the number of connected viewers is on the MIRROR pill and in the Host tab of Settings). From top to bottom:
- Department cards — one per department that has reported, showing the department name and its worst current status: red ERROR beats amber WARN beats green OK. Under it, one line per crew member (by the name they entered) with their latest status. A report with no name is listed as nameless. A department whose latest report is more than 5 minutes old turns grey.
- The alert form — see Push alerts. It appears only while viewers can be reached.
- Report log — the last 20 reports, newest first, each as [time] [DEPARTMENT] [name] STATUS: message. The log and the cards are cleared when the Viewer Mirror is switched on or off.
Before the show, ask each crew member to enter their name and role on the viewer's identity screen. A named, role-tagged line is far easier to act on than an anonymous one.
The STAGE pill
The status bar shows a STAGE pill only when a problem has been reported. It appears when at least one WARN or ERROR report arrived in the last 5 minutes, reads STAGE · N with the number of those reports, and is amber, or red if any is an ERROR. There is no green state: when nothing is wrong the pill is not there. Clicking it expands the Stage Monitor and scrolls to it, as long as the panel is shown.
Pre-show workflow
Before the show starts, ask each department to open the viewer and tap OK. Watch the department cards turn green, and use push alerts or the HOLD button to keep everyone on standby while you wait for a late department.
