Stage Monitor

Stage Monitor shows the operator which viewers are connected to the Viewer Mirror and what status each has reported. It is the operator's central dashboard for crew readiness during pre-show checks and the show itself.

Accessing Stage Monitor

Scroll to the Stage Monitor section in Settings β†’ Network Viewer β†’ Host (Mirror). You can also click the STAGE pill in the LTCast status bar to jump directly to Stage Monitor without opening settings.

Reading the viewer list

Each connected viewer appears as a row in the list. Each row shows:

  • Role β€” the department name from the viewer's ?role= URL parameter; blank if no role is set
  • Name β€” the crew member's name from the viewer's ?name= URL parameter; shows "no name" if not set
  • Status badge β€” the self-reported status: green OK, yellow WARN, or red ERROR
  • Last message β€” the text message the viewer submitted alongside their status report

Before the show, ask each crew member to add ?name=YourName&role=YourDept to the URL. This makes Stage Monitor far more readable during pre-show checks.

Status bar pill

The STAGE pill in LTCast's status bar provides a quick at-a-glance summary:

  • Green β€” all connected viewers are reporting OK
  • Yellow β€” at least one viewer is reporting WARN
  • Red β€” at least one viewer is reporting ERROR

The pill is not shown when no viewers are connected.

Pre-show workflow

Before the show starts, ask each department to open the viewer URL and tap their status. Wait until the Stage Monitor shows green OK badges for every expected department before proceeding to the first cue. Use the HOLD button to keep all crew on standby if you need to delay while waiting for confirmation.
