Push alerts

Push alerts let the operator send a text message to all connected viewers simultaneously β€” for example, a timing cue, a change of plan, or a standby notice. All crew members see the alert as a banner on their viewer screen at the same moment.

Sending an alert

In Settings β†’ Network Viewer β†’ Host (Mirror), scroll to the Stage Monitor section. Type your message in the alert field and click Push. All connected viewers receive the alert as a full-screen banner overlay. The timecode and other content remain visible beneath the banner.

Role filtering

To send an alert only to a specific department, enter a role name in the role field before clicking Push (for example, lighting or audio). Only viewers whose URL includes a matching ?role= parameter will receive the alert. Leave the role field blank to send to all connected viewers regardless of role.

Requiring acknowledgment

Enable Requires ACK before sending to ask viewers to confirm they have seen the alert. The banner stays on screen until the viewer taps OK. Once a viewer acknowledges, their row in the recent alerts grid updates to show ACK'd.

Tracking acknowledgments

The recent alerts grid in the Stage Monitor section shows each sent alert and which roles have acknowledged it. Hover a row to see the full list of who has and has not responded. Use this to confirm all departments received the message before proceeding.

Use push alerts for holds, timing changes, or last-minute cue adjustments: "HOLD β€” house lights up, we are delaying 10 minutes" reaches every crew member instantly without a radio call.

Alert appearance

Alerts appear as a semi-transparent banner that slides in from the top of the viewer. The banner shows the message text and, if Requires ACK is enabled, an OK button. Other content β€” timecode, song name, upcoming cues β€” remains visible beneath it.
