Hog / ChamSys

LTCast exports your cue list in Reaper CSV format. Both Hog 4 and ChamSys MagicQ accept Reaper CSV for cuelist import via their timeline functions, making this a single export format for two common consoles.

Accessing the export

Choose File → Export to Hog / ChamSys (Reaper CSV). The active song must have at least one cue marker. If there are no markers, a message is shown and no file is created.

About the Reaper CSV format

The Reaper CSV format uses timecode-based cue markers that align with how both Hog 4 and ChamSys MagicQ handle timeline imports. Each row in the CSV represents one cue with its timecode position, cue number, and label. The format is a plain-text CSV that can also be opened in any spreadsheet application for review before import.

Importing into Hog 4

On Hog 4, open the Timeline Editor and use the import function to load the Reaper CSV. Cues appear at their timecode positions in the timeline. Match the timecode format setting in the Timeline Editor to your show's frame rate before importing.

Importing into ChamSys MagicQ

On ChamSys MagicQ, navigate to the cuelist and use Cuelist → Import from CSV. Ensure the timecode format in MagicQ matches the frame rate of your LTCast show before importing. Cue names and labels from LTCast are used as the cue names after import.

Cue numbers and labels from LTCast are included in the exported CSV. After import, verify that cue numbers match your console's existing numbering scheme and renumber if necessary.

If you use both Hog 4 and ChamSys at the same venue, export a single Reaper CSV from LTCast and import it into both consoles. This keeps the cue lists consistent across boards.
