Skipping songs
Cutting a song at the last minute? Mark it skipped instead of deleting it. It stays in the list, greyed out, and the show runs straight past it. Bring it back with one click if plans change again.
Skip a song
Right-click the song and choose Skip this song. With several songs selected, the menu reads Skip 3 songs. To bring a song back, right-click it and choose Don't skip.
A skipped song shows its name struck through and a Skip badge beside its duration.
What a skipped song does
Everything that works out "the next song" steps over it:
- Auto-advance and the after-finish Next, First and Last destinations
- The
↑/↓keys and MIDI next/previous, which preselect the next song that is not skipped. They only cue it as the amber STANDBY row;Enteror a MIDI GO trigger then plays it - Every NEXT display — the timecode display, NEXT CUE panel and overlay, Operator face, stage display and the web Viewer
- The running time on the list's tab and at the bottom of the setlist
What still reaches it
- Double-click or the ▶ button — loads it anyway (press Play or
Spaceto start it), for when you change your mind mid-show - A single click to cue it as STANDBY, then
Enter— plays it - The number keys
1–9and a MIDI go-to-song mapping - An after-finish destination that names this song explicitly (Go to song ▸)
- LTC chase — if the external timecode runs into a skipped song, LTCast follows it. The master clock decides.
Per list
Skipping belongs to the list, not the song: skipping a song in afternoon doesn't skip it in evening, even if the two are linked. It's saved in the project file.
Skip rather than delete during rehearsals — the song keeps all its cues, and un-skipping is a single click.
