Auto-advance
Auto-advance makes LTCast automatically load and play the next song when the current one finishes. Enable it for unattended playback through a show, or leave it off to stay on each song until you manually trigger the next one.
Enabling auto-advance
Toggle the Auto-advance switch in the setlist toolbar. You can also find this setting in Settings → Workflow. The toggle state is saved in the project file.
Gap between songs
An optional gap setting adds a pause between the end of one song and the start of the next. Set the gap in seconds in the field next to the auto-advance toggle. Set it to 0 for no gap — the next song starts immediately when the current one ends.
During the gap, LTC continues broadcasting from where the previous song ended and counts upward. It does not reset to zero or hold. Connected systems remain in sync through the gap.
Per-song overrides
Each song can have its own after-finish destination that overrides the global auto-advance setting. For example, you can have auto-advance on globally but set a specific song to Stop at the end of an act. See After-finish destination for all available options.
Behavior at the end of the setlist
When auto-advance reaches the last song and no per-song after-finish override is set, playback stops. To loop the entire show, set the last song's after-finish destination to Go to first song.
Next song highlight
While a song is playing with auto-advance enabled, the setlist highlights the next song that will play. This lets you confirm the upcoming song at a glance during a show without counting cards.
Manual override during auto-advance
You can always manually load a different song during auto-advance by clicking the play button on any song card. The manual selection takes effect immediately and subsequent auto-advance steps continue from the manually selected song's position in the setlist.
