Show Timer

Show Timer provides independent countdown timers for segments of the event that are not driven by timecode. They run on real-world clock time and are managed by the operator, entirely separate from the SMPTE timecode clock.

Accessing Show Timer

Show Timers are the upper half of the SHOW tab in the right-hand panel; the Show Log is the lower half. The tab is hidden by default — show it with View → Panels → SHOW, a role preset that includes it (View menu & role presets), or Show "Show" tab in Settings → Workflow → Appearance.

Adding a timer

A row of Quick add buttons creates a timer at once, with a ready-made name and duration: + Doors 15:00, + Intermission 20:00 and + Lockout 2:00. Nothing opens first — the timer simply appears in the list.

For anything else click + Custom…. A small form opens with a Name and a Duration. Type the duration as minutes (e.g., 15) or minutes:seconds (e.g., 15:00), or click one of the chips — 5m, 10m, 15m, 20m, 30m, 45m, 60m — to fill it in. Click Add. The form stays open so you can add several timers in a row.

To change a timer later, double-click its name to rename it, and click its time to change the duration (only while the timer is not running).

Timer controls

Each timer has these controls:

• Start — begins the countdown from the full duration
• Pause — halts the countdown and holds the remaining time
• Resume — continues from where it was paused
• Reset — returns the timer to its full duration without starting it
• Remove — deletes the timer

DONE badge

When a countdown reaches zero the timer shows a DONE badge, its row flashes red for 5 seconds, and two beeps sound. It does not restart by itself — reset it if you need to run it again. The beeps play on the output chosen in Settings → Workflow → Appearance → Show Timer beep audio: the system default device, the music output device (so it lands on the speakers the band hears), or Silent for a visual-only alert. That same setting also routes the cue standby/GO beep.

Running multiple timers

You can run several timers at once — for example, "Doors" counting down from 30 minutes while "Intermission" is paused at 10:00. Each timer is independent.
