Show Timer

Show Timer provides independent countdown timers for segments of the event that are not driven by timecode. These run on real-world clock time and are managed manually by the operator. They are separate from the SMPTE timecode clock entirely.

Accessing Show Timer

Open the SHOW tab in the right panel. Timers are listed below the Show Log section.

Adding a timer

Click Add and type a name for the timer. Alternatively, click Quick Add to choose from presets: Doors, Intermission, Lockout, or Custom. Quick Add presets fill in a sensible default duration that you can edit before saving.

Enter the duration as minutes (e.g., 15) or minutes:seconds (e.g., 15:00). Durations longer than 59:59 can be entered as a total number of minutes.

Timer controls

Each timer has the following controls:

  • Start — begins the countdown from the full duration
  • Stop — halts the countdown and holds the current remaining time
  • Resume — continues the countdown from where it was stopped
  • Reset — returns the timer to its full duration without starting it

DONE badge

When a countdown reaches zero, the timer shows a DONE badge and stops. It does not restart automatically. Reset the timer manually if you need to run it again.

Running multiple timers

You can run several timers simultaneously — for example, "Doors" counting down from 30 minutes while "Intermission" is paused at 10:00. Each timer operates independently.

Show timers run on the computer's real-world clock, not on the SMPTE timecode from the loaded audio. Pausing playback in LTCast does not pause running show timers.
