Status bar & health strip

The bar along the bottom of the main window is the show's dashboard. On the left is the health strip, a single live verdict; next to it come one pill per output or service; on the right are the buttons you use during a show. Everything here is display or a shortcut โ€” switching a light does not change what is being sent unless the text below says otherwise.

The health strip

The leftmost item summarises every subsystem that is in use:

  • ALL SYSTEMS GO (green) โ€” everything that is switched on looks fine.
  • N CHECK (amber) โ€” N subsystems need attention.
  • N FAULT (red, pulsing) โ€” N subsystems have failed.
  • STANDBY (grey) โ€” nothing is armed yet, so there is nothing to judge.

Hover the strip for the breakdown: one line per subsystem that is in use, marked โœ“ (fine), ! (needs attention) or โœ• (failed), with unused ones left out. The outputs that cannot hear back โ€” LTC, MTC, Art-Net and OSC โ€” are tagged (sending, unconfirmed) even when green, because a green mark can only mean LTCast is sending, not that anything received it.

SubsystemFineNeeds attention / failed
LTCSignal presentFailed if a song is playing and the signal is lost; unused when stopped without a signal
MTCA MIDI port is connectedUnused otherwise
Art-Net, OSCOn, with at least one enabled targetOn with no enabled target
ViewersMirror on, at least one viewer connectedMirror on, nobody connected
ChaseChasingFreewheeling is attention; Lost is a failure
EnginePlaying normallyโ€”
StageStage Monitor shown and a department has reported in the last 5 minutesShown but nobody has reported
CloudCloud Share connectedCloud Share on but still connecting or reconnecting

Without Pro, an MTC, Art-Net or OSC output that is switched on counts as needing attention and is tagged (needs Pro) in the breakdown, because nothing is being sent. The strip is the live counterpart of Pre-Show Check, which is a one-time check before the show.

Output and service pills

  • LTC โ€” lit while timecode is running from the file's LTC or the TC Generator. The small meter beside it shows the level actually leaving the LTC output device. Click it to open the LTC level setting.
  • MTC, Art-Net ยท N and OSC ยท N โ€” lit when that output is switched on (for MTC, when a port is selected); N is the number of enabled targets. Click one to open the matching row in Settings โ†’ Outputs. Without Pro an output that is switched on turns amber and reads Needs Pro (hover it for the explanation): nothing is being sent (see MTC, Art-Net, OSC). The first time this applies in a session โ€” an output restored at startup, or one you switch on โ€” a one-time notice says that nothing is sent until you upgrade.
  • NDI โ€” appears when NDI is available on this machine; click it to switch NDI output on or off, and use the small pencil to open the slice editor. See NDI video output.
  • BRIDGE โ€” TC Bridge. See TC Bridge.
  • CUE SYNC โ€” the Quick-Cue palette. Click it to switch the number-key capture on or off.
  • MIRROR ยท N โ€” the Viewer Mirror is on; N is the number of connected viewers. Click it to open the Network Viewer settings.
  • STAGE ยท N โ€” shown only while WARN or ERROR reports from the last 5 minutes exist; amber, or red if any is an ERROR. See Stage Monitor.
  • ENGINE โ€” shown (red) only after LTCast has logged an internal background error this session. Click it to open the error log and clear the count.
  • CHASE โ€” dot cyan while chasing, amber while freewheeling, red when lost, grey when idle. Click it to switch chase on or off (also Ctrl+Shift+C). Beside it, ๐Ÿ”‡ MIDI only or ๐Ÿ”Š AUDIO shows whether the song's audio plays while chasing, and clicking it flips that. See Chasing external LTC.
  • LOCKED โ€” appears at the left when the UI is locked; click it to unlock (UI lock).
  • Switch to Generator โ€” appears (amber) when a song is playing in LTC Reader mode but no LTC is being decoded; click it to switch to the TC Generator.

Buttons on the right

  • HOLD / CLEAR HOLD โ€” one-tap message to the crew; see HOLD broadcast. Shown only while viewers can be reached.
  • CHECK โ€” opens Pre-Show Check.
  • ? โ€” the keyboard shortcut list.
  • Fullscreen TC โ€” the full-screen view (same as F11); see Fullscreen TC display.
  • ไธญๆ–‡ / EN โ€” switches the interface language.
  • v0.7.32 (the version number) โ€” click to check for updates.

A session that was Pro when it started stays Pro until you quit, so a licence problem in the middle of a show does not turn the outputs amber or stop them.
