/ Pre-Show Check
Pre-Show Check
Pre-Show Check runs a checklist of system health items before the show starts, confirming that LTCast and its connected equipment are configured and ready. Run it 15β30 minutes before doors to leave time to fix any issues.
Accessing Pre-Show Check
Click the Pre-Show Check button in the toolbar, or open the Tools tab in the right panel and click Pre-Show Check.
Checked items
Pre-Show Check inspects the following:
- Audio File β confirms a file is loaded and ready to play; fails if no file is loaded or the file is missing
- Setlist Files β checks that all files referenced in the setlist exist on disk; lists the file names of any missing files
- LTC Signal β confirms that an LTC signal was detected in the loaded file (if applicable); warns if the file was loaded but no LTC was found
- Trigger MIDI Port β checks that the MIDI port configured for trigger output is currently connected; warns if the port is unavailable
- OSC Reachability β indicates whether the OSC target has been verified reachable; shows a warning if no OSC test has been performed
- Setlist Offsets β reports whether any songs use non-default timecode offset settings; this is informational, not a failure
- Markers β confirms the active song has at least one marker if cues are expected; warns if the song has no markers
Result colors
Each item is color-coded:
- Green β GO: the item is configured correctly
- Yellow β WARNING: the item needs review before the show but is not necessarily a blocker
- Red β FAIL: the item must be fixed before the show can safely proceed
Do not dismiss red FAIL items without resolving them. A missing audio file or disconnected MIDI port can cause silent failures during the show that are difficult to diagnose under pressure.
