Per-song settings

Each song has individual settings that override global defaults for that song only. Open them by clicking the settings icon on the song card. Changes are saved automatically to the project file.

Volume and fades

  • Trim β€” volume adjustment in dB applied to this song only; range is βˆ’60 to +12 dB; 0 dB means no change; use this when one song is noticeably louder or quieter than the rest of the setlist
  • Fade in β€” automatic fade-in applied at the start of the song; enter the duration in seconds; 0 disables the fade
  • Fade out β€” automatic fade-out applied when the song ends or when you stop playback; enter the duration in seconds; 0 disables the fade
Trim adjusts the output level before it reaches the LTC encoder. A high trim value will not affect LTC signal quality, but it will affect the music audio level sent to your speaker outputs.

Downbeat and time signature

  • Downbeat β€” sets the anchor for the bar ruler shown in the waveform view; click Set at playhead to stamp the current playhead position as bar 1 beat 1; the bar grid lines up from this point; useful when you want cue markers to align to bar boundaries
  • Time signature β€” beats per bar (numerator); default is 4 for 4/4 time; controls how the bar ruler divides; denominator is always treated as quarter notes

After-finish destination

The after-finish setting controls what LTCast does when this song ends. The available destinations are: go to next song, go to first song, go to last song, stop, loop this song, go to a specific song by name, or follow the global auto-advance setting. See After-finish destination for full details.

Batch editing multiple songs

If you have multiple songs selected when you open per-song settings, the panel switches to batch edit mode. A hint at the top of the panel shows how many songs will be affected. Any value you change applies to all selected songs simultaneously. Fields that differ across the selection show a mixed-value indicator β€” editing that field sets all selected songs to the new value.

Use batch editing to set the same fade-out duration across an entire act, or to set a uniform trim for all songs recorded at a different level.

Clearing a per-song setting

Each setting has a reset control (an Γ— or a revert icon). Clicking it removes the per-song override and reverts that setting to the global default. This lets you override only the settings that need to differ without locking in every field for a song.
