Next Cue panel
The Next Cue panel shows the upcoming cues for the currently playing song in real time, with countdowns and standby timers so the operator always knows what is coming next.
Accessing the panel
Click the NEXT CUE tab in the right panel (alongside CUES, SHOW, and TOOLS). The panel is always visible when the tab is selected, regardless of whether a song is playing.
What the panel shows
The panel displays the following information for the currently loaded song:
- Next cue label and timecode — the label and SMPTE address of the very next cue to fire
- Time remaining countdown — real-time count of seconds until the next cue fires; counts down as playback progresses
- Following cues — a scrollable list of cues after the next one, in sequence order
Standby timing for Manual GO cues
For cues set to Manual GO trigger mode, the panel highlights the cue during the standby window that precedes the timecode. The countdown first shows time until the standby deadline (when you should call "Standby"), then switches to time until the GO deadline (when you must call "Go"). This helps the calling operator maintain the correct rhythm.
Department filtering
The NEXT CUE view can be filtered by department. If your show has departments configured, use the filter selector at the top of the panel to show only cues for a specific department — for example, showing only lighting cues during a call session with the lighting team.
End of sequence
When no cues remain after the current position, the panel shows "End of sequence — no more cues". This is the operator's confirmation that the song's cue list is complete and no further triggers will fire.
The Next Cue panel is read-only. It displays information but does not have playback controls. Use the Transport controls to play, pause, and stop.
