Cloud Share (Pro)
Cloud Share is a Pro feature that gives you a link anyone can open from anywhere — no LAN required. It is useful for remote operators, venue technicians connecting from outside the building, or crew on a different network segment. It shows the same viewer page as the LAN mirror.
Cloud Share needs Pro: a Pro licence or an active trial. The Start Cloud Share button is visible without Pro, but pressing it only shows a message that Cloud Share requires a Pro licence. A trial room admits up to 25 viewers and a machine on a trial can keep one room at a time; a Pro room admits up to 50.
Starting Cloud Share
Open Settings → Network Viewer → Host (Mirror) and scroll to the Cloud Share block at the bottom. Click Start Cloud Share. LTCast opens a room on a Cloudflare relay server and shows the status Connecting to relay…, then Cloud share active, together with a Public viewer link and a QR code. Cloud Share is independent of the LAN mirror: you do not need to switch the mirror on first, and the LAN mirror keeps its own PIN settings.
The room belongs to this run of LTCast only. LTCast does not remember Cloud Share across restarts — after relaunching, click Start Cloud Share again, which creates a new room and a new link.
Sharing the link
Click Copy link to copy the public link, or have remote crew scan the QR code on your screen. Send the link by any channel — email, messaging apps, a shared document. The public page shows the same timecode, song, cues and lyrics as the LAN viewer, and the same features work over it: the identity screen, role filtering, reports and alerts with acknowledgements.
Stopping Cloud Share
Click Stop Cloud Share. LTCast disconnects from the relay and viewers stop receiving updates. The old link is not deleted on the spot: the relay discards a room after 6 hours without activity, so treat a link you have shared as valid for that long. Starting again always creates a new room with a new link. The LAN mirror, if it was on, keeps running.
If the connection to the relay drops during a show, the status changes to Reconnecting… and LTCast reconnects by itself, replaying the latest state to the room.
Security considerations
The link contains a long random key, so it cannot be guessed, but it is not protected by the LAN PIN: anyone who has the link can watch the show data and send reports. Share it only with people you trust and stop Cloud Share when the show is over.
For shows with a remote director or tour manager who needs to watch timecode from a green room or hotel, Cloud Share removes the need for a VPN or for exposing LTCast to a public IP address.
