Viewer Mirror setup (LAN)
Viewer Mirror runs a small web server on the LTCast machine so crew members on the same Wi-Fi can open a browser and see live timecode, the current song, and upcoming cues β no app installation required.
Enabling the mirror
Go to Settings β Network Viewer β Host (Mirror) tab and toggle on Enable network viewer mirror. The mirror starts immediately and displays a "Running on port 7777" confirmation along with a list of LAN URLs that viewers can open.
Port configuration
The default port is 7777. If another application is already using that port, change the port number in the field below the toggle and restart the mirror. The mirror must be disabled and re-enabled after changing the port β the new address is shown in the URL list once it restarts.
Firewall prompts
On the first launch, the operating system may ask for permission to accept incoming connections:
- macOS: a dialog appears asking "Allow incoming network connections?" β click Allow. If you clicked Deny, re-enable access in System Settings β Privacy & Security β Firewall.
- Windows: Windows Defender Firewall may show a prompt for "Private networks" access β allow it. If you dismissed the prompt, open Windows Defender Firewall β Allow an app through firewall and add LTCast manually.
Sharing the viewer URL
LTCast lists all detected network interface addresses (for example, http://192.168.1.5:7777). Crew members open any of these addresses in a browser on any device β phone, tablet, or laptop β connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Click Copy first URL to copy the primary address to the clipboard for pasting into a group chat.
The mirror uses plain HTTP. Do not expose port 7777 to the internet or to untrusted networks. Use Cloud Share (Pro) for access from outside the building.
