Batch operations

Batch operations let you update a property on multiple cues simultaneously. Instead of opening each cue individually, select a group of cues and apply the change once.

Selecting multiple cues

Click a cue in the list to select it, then:

Ctrl+click (or Cmd+click) to add or remove individual cues from the selection.
Shift+click to select a contiguous range from the cue you last clicked.
Ctrl+A to select all cues in the song.

The batch bar

When two or more cues are selected, a second row appears at the top of the CUES tab, labelled Set on selected:. It holds the batch operations available for the current selection.

Available batch operations

Trigger — pick Auto, Manual GO or Follow from the dropdown and it is set on all selected cues at once. These are labels only; see Trigger modes.
— set cue — — pick a quick-cue slot to give every selected cue that slot's color and slot. The labels of the cues are left alone.
Color — the color swatch assigns the same color to all selected cues as soon as you pick it.
Standby (s) — type a lead time in seconds and click Apply; emptying the box and clicking Apply clears it on all selected cues. This is the only batch field that needs Apply.
Departments — there is no separate department control on the bar. Change the — targets — dropdown on any one of the selected rows: the department you tick is added to every selected cue, and the one you untick is removed from every selected cue. Departments are added or removed one at a time; a batch cannot replace a cue's whole set.

A toast notification shows how many cues were updated.

Editing the label of one selected cue renames every selected cue to the same text. Click a single cue first if you only mean to rename one.

Other things you can do with a selection

The same bar also has Loop section (see Loop section) and Clear (deselects). Press Delete or Backspace to delete the selected cues after a confirmation, and Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V / Ctrl+D to copy, paste or duplicate them (see Copy & paste cues).

Undoing batch operations

Press Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z) to reverse a batch operation and restore the previous values on all affected cues. Each batch edit is a single undo step, and so is a batch delete.

Batch operations are especially useful after applying a cue template — you can quickly re-assign department targets or standardize trigger labels across dozens of cues in seconds.
