Chase audio stays with the master after a dropout, reference video auto-align finds far more, and version compare gets cuts right

2026-11-05

New

  • A reference video with no sound can be aligned: it gets its own row on the song’s timeline. Drag it, nudge it, or start it at the playhead.

Fixed

  • Chase audio after a dropout: when timecode comes back, the song starts where the master is. It used to start where it stopped and stay behind for the rest of the song.
  • Restarting from before a song, or jumping out and back in, the audio waits for the song and lands where the master is. Play after a pause under chase goes to where the master is too.
  • Stop or Panic while chase is loading or starting a song now holds: the song used to start anyway once it was ready. As before, the master moving around in the song does not restart the audio. The next song does, and so does a master that stops and starts again (with freewheel off).
  • A song ending while a master is driving no longer loads the next song and plays it from the top, and its After finish does not run either. With the master lost, or quiet with freewheel on, they work as before.
  • A song whose timecode range sits inside another’s no longer hides the outer song once it has ended, so the outer song’s later triggers fire.
  • Reference video auto-align now goes by where the sound jumps, so it can place short clips, rougher recordings and a recording longer than the song. When the music repeats or there is little to go on, it says so.
  • Version compare finds a cut where it is, even near the start, and the cues either side land where they belong. What it cannot pin down is listed instead of called solid.
  • Keys pressed in the version compare window no longer start the show behind it. Panic still works. Batch update takes a dropped folder.
  • A file with no LTC no longer draws an LTC lane. A song found through its start TC shows it in purple, in the Tour too, and its cues no longer say “fires free”.
  • With chase silent, the time and slider under the waveform move with chase.
  • Resolume Arena link: if the Pro check had not finished at launch, it stayed on “Arena · Pro” until switched off and on. It now connects by itself.
  • Small fixes: Tour section countdowns are no longer cut in half, ←/→ on selected cues no longer moves the playhead, the generator light goes grey while following external timecode with nothing playing here, NEXT CUE shows the department for an unnamed cue, waveform labels show the full name when there is room, the OSC monitor keeps following, and Space, Enter and Esc write to the Show Log.
